"Ting!" and "Tong!"

I was attending a brainstorming session when I was working for a concern earlier. The session was good, but completely business oriented. We almost came to the end of the session and we were asked to fill the feedback forms. A friend of mine sitting behind me,  asked for a pen and the fellow who conducted the session gave her his pen and said today it's the second Ting for me. 

We are not expected to do big things, but why can't we save few Tings for us i the heaven!!!We gave a strange look and asked him, what's Ting!? He smiled and said, "Wow! Am gonna get more Ting’s today" and asked us if we really don't know what's Ting Tong. We all nodded our heads,  saying no. 

He walked back to his table and said, basically Ting and Tong is nothing but just a sound. He said, in England,  especially in Dinnington (a town in rural South Yorkshire, England), it's said very commonly that when you do something good, there rings Ting! in heaven and when you do something wrong,  then it's a Tong sound.

Before we could think, he himself asked us,  does it sounds silly? We all again nodded our heads saying yes.  He again gave a pleasant smile and continued. He said,  it's actually something that was told to him when he was a kid.  His mother told him that he must always help others and do good things, so that,  every time he do something good,  there will be a sound in heaven as Ting! From his childhood, till now, he is following it and he said he is 53 years young on earth now.  

Again, young on earth! 

Yes! 

He was proud saying he is 53 years young on earth and he is happy that he has saved lots of Ting's on heaven and also some Tong's and... made us all think. 

The session came to an end and he left. But coming home, what he said was still running on my mind. Yes, doing good and helping others really brings us happiness. Take some time, think, you will realize that you always felt happy and proud when you help and do good things.  

You all know something? It's really easy to help others and do good things. Very easy to put a smile on others face and make them happy. We may not be in a position to spend a part of our earnings for orphans and handicapped or for poor, but we can always spend our time for orphans, we can surly try to help a poor find a better job or give one of your clothes to the needs,  you can buy some bread loaf for hungers on street. Talk to old people,  they would love it. Put your hand around your dad's shoulders and say you are there to take care of thing. Even if you don't, he would feel proud and happy and that's a Ting for you in the heaven (but don’t keep lying). 

Also, remember that, if you are in a position to help or do good and if you don't, then that's Tong. That's bad and it's a surly a Tong for you in heaven. Someone's in need of help! If you are not in a position to help! that's alright. But when you have a chance and you still avoid it, it's a loud Tong for you.

There are, a lot of people around us who needs our help! Very basically, all we need is just a little space in our heart to help and a very minimal effort to do it. Many of us have a heart to help and why can't we cheer our self and start helping the needed?

We are not expected to do big things, but why can't we save few "Tings" for us in the heaven?!
